OpenAI, A Microsoft-Owned Company, Has Announced That ChatGPT, Its Ai Chatbot, Can Once More Search The Web For Up-To-Date Information. ChatGPT Then Provides Responses That Are Taken Directly From These Sources, Which It Cites In Its Responses, And Does So In A “Current And Authoritative” Manner.

The Company Launched The ‘Browse With Bing’ Feature, Which Is Currently Only Available To Subscribers To Plus And Enterprise But Will Soon Be Made Available To All Users.

Now That ChatGPT Can Search The Internet, It Can Give You Up-To-Date, Reliable Information Along With Links To The Original Sources. It Is No Longer Restricted To Data Collected Before September 2021, According To A Wednesday Post By OpenAI On X. “Today, Browsing Is Available To Plus And Enterprise Users, And We’ll Shortly Make It Open To Everyone. Google’s Bard In Chrome And Microsoft’s Bing Chat On Windows, The Edge Browser, And Third-Party Browser Plugins Are Already Able To Return Real-Time Information From The Internet. Both Websites Also Provide Links While Searching, Just Like ChatGPT Does Using Browse With Bing. The Ability To Explore The Internet Was Added By OpenAI To Their ChatGPT Ios App In June, But It Was Quickly Removed After Users Discovered They Could Trick The Chatbot Into Revealing Otherwise Paywalled Information By Passing It A URL Directly.
